Cap'n Jimmy tells the Webcam story,

"The webcam is located in the peak of the Blue Door and is powered by the Stardot Netcam. I was looking at my beautiful view one day, (I go Commercial Fishing up in Sitka in March and April and stay at The Blue Door) when I noticed Bald Eagles flying by with sticks in their beaks.  I then looked closer with binoculars and saw the nest.

I must have missed it last year as this is the second year for the nest. The nest is about 300 ft from the place. And you are actually above the nest for the great view.

Setting up the webcam was amazingly easy, the hardest part was mounting the camera, I wanted to get it as high as possible, so I had to borrow a tall ladder. Hooking up to the web was a snap, the webcam has a built in webserver, so no computer was even necessary."
